Jeff Ray

Jeff, a loving father of 7 and proud grandfather, is not just an experienced mediator but a man of many passions. When he’s not in the mediation room, you can find him paddleboarding the Great Lakes, playing tennis or pickleball, taking long hikes, biking, practicing yoga, or fly fishing in the West. Recently, he has also taken up furniture making, adding yet another skill to his repertoire.

Jeff graduated from Alma College, where he studied comparative law. He continued his education at Oxford University before earning his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

With over 40 years of experience, Jeff has honed his mediation skills, handling over 150 cases. Currently serving as an American Arbitration Association (AAA) commercial, employment, consumer, construction, and international arbitrator, he understands the intricacies of dispute resolution. Through his extensive experience, Jeff has learned that every person is important, each person has a voice, and there are always two sides to every dispute.

Jeff believes that some of the most challenging cases involve the least amount of money but require the greatest degree of attention. His dedication to resolving conflicts has earned him the gratitude of countless participants who were able to reach a resolution and regain control of their decisions.

With his established rapport with local attorneys and judges, Jeff brings his wealth of experience and facilitative skills to his new approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution. Jenna Ribbons

Jenna is not only a dedicated mother who enjoys actively participating in her children’s sports, but she’s also a woman of many talents and interests. Recently trained as an archery instructor, Jenna is passionate about spending time with her family, biking, kayaking, hiking, practicing yoga, and scuba diving. A Michigan native, originally from the Plymouth-Canton area, Jenna now resides in East Lansing.

Jenna earned her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University before going on to earn her master’s degree in education. She maintains her Nevada Teaching License. After many years as a classroom teacher, Jenna pursued her Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University-Thomas M. Cooley Law School. It was during law school that Jenna became trained as a mediator. She utilized these skills while working with clients as an intern for multiple terms at the WMU Cooley Law School Innocence Project.

Following law school, Jenna worked at a community-based dispute center, where she continued her training in multiple areas of mediation. There, she gained a great deal of experience mediating hundreds of cases. Jenna furthered her studies in dispute resolution by attending Pepperdine University-Caruso School of Law. At the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, she earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Dispute Resolution.

An active member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Jenna is deeply committed to serving her community. She, along with Signature Solutions Group, has partnered with the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing to provide legal and dispute resolution services. They also volunteer as a group to help clients in various other facets.

Jenna and Jeff utilize their podcast to promote local businesses, deepen connections with local advocates, and help build peace in the community.

 

Tammy Grimshaw

Air Force veteran, wife and mother enjoys camping, hiking and kayaking. Most recently Tammy left a leadership position in the Corporate world of Mergers and Acquisitions to apply the mediation skills that were gained in that environment in order to help people in a more personal setting.

Having mediated over 200 cases, she has witnessed what a powerful process it is, allowing both sides to share their perspectives and craft their own agreements in a safe, respectful and confidential environment.

Tammy worked for a community based mediation center prior to joining Signature Solutions Group.

Terry L. Doxey

Vietnam vet. Married. Four children, 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Terry holds a BA in education from Western Michigan University. He taught 8th grade math and science for five years and coached the girls track and varsity basketball teams. He served at the USPS as a clerk for 25 years. After he retired, he continued as a substitute teacher in primary and middle school for three years before deciding to attend WMU-Cooley Law School.

Graduating Cum laude from Western Michigan Thomas Cooley Law School (WMU-Cooley), Terry served as Vice President of the Christiancy Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, was a member of the WMU-Cooley Lansing campus Phi Delta Phi (PDP) Legal Honor Society, and coordinated with students at the WMU-Cooley Lansing facility to re-establish the Sports and Entertainment Society (SELs). Terry also served as Treasurer when establishing a new a new PDP chapter at the WMU-Cooley Grand Rapids facility. As a Cooley Law Student, he volunteered at the Lansing VITA organization “Asset Independence Coalition (AIC)” where he worked with the public doing taxes and connecting individuals with agencies offering various financial education programs.

Terry worked with the Lansing Dispute Resolution Center for over five years where he was Assistant Program Direction of mediation for over two years. He is certified as both a civil and domestic mediator and has mediated over 1,100 cases.

Ross Thomas Lucas Jr.

Grew up in Indiana where he completed his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University. He earned a Masters of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kentucky. He later earned his Masters degree in Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and completed a Ph.D. from Indiana University.  He has served as pastor to four churches in Indiana and to two Kiowa Indian Churches in Oklahoma.  In Indiana he served as chaplain to two police jurisdictions, The Dunkirk Indiana Police Department and the Clay County Indiana Sheriff’s Department.  He then worked 15 years as a psychologist and pastoral counselor.  In recent years, he has consulted with several churches around conflict resolution. 

In the last fifteen years he has served as transitional pastor in churches from New York to Michigan.  He has led training events in Transitional Ministry for multiple denominations and consulted with different religious faiths related to peaceful transition and training with church leadership groups.  He is a retired Diplomate of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.

He has completed the 40-hour Domestic Relations Training as approved by the State Court Administrative Office and in compliance with Michigan court rules, as well as the 8-hour Domestic Violence Screening Training for Mediators.

He works with men’s issues and has been active with the Mankind Project, staffing more than 45 New Warrior Training Adventures around the world. 

He has served as President of the Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches of Michigan and President of the Chaplains and Pastoral Counselors Ministers Council of the American Baptist Churches-USA. During his tenure as President of the American Baptist Churches-MI Ministers Council, he served on the Spiritual and Personal Wholeness Committee of the National American Baptist Churches-USA Ministers Council.

He has authored and published ten books, The Greatest Stories Ever … Retold, The I.D. Book: Unmasking the Soul and Revealing Your True Mission in Life, The Magi, Along Came Evil, Greatest Stories Ever…Retold Book 2, He Sits Alone, Along Came Suffering, There Be Magic, and There Be Dragons. He has also been published in several journals, the Indiana Baptist Observer, Minister Magazine, and The International Journal for Self-help and Self-care. 

He continues to work on writing projects. He enjoys photography (has had pieces accepted in juried exhibitions as well as solo exhibitions) and painting. He has earned a Black Belt in Judo. Ross is an Eagle Scout and a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow.

He lives in Okemos, Michigan with his wife of 55 years. They have three children and three grandsons. His Goldendoodle, Sirius Black, a registered Therapy Dog keeps a watchful eye on all.

Christine M. Doxey

Christine is a 25-year employee of the United States Postal Service. She has been a mediator in Michigan since 2017. She earned her 40 hours of training in the Mt. Pleasant 76 District Court, St. John 65 District Court, Lansing 54A/54B District Courts, and Mason 55A District Court. She has expanded her service to the Southwestern Michigan area mediating cases for Van Bueren, Kalamazoo, and St. Joe Counties.

Christine received her J.D from WMU Cooley Law School in 2019 and is the 2019 WMU Cooley recipient of the Grand Rapids Area Higher Education Network (GRAHEN) Outstanding Adult Learner Award. While in Law School she organized students to restart the Sports and Entertainment Society on the Lansing Campus, was a member of the Lansing campus Alternative Dispute Society, Phi Alpha Delta Society and the Phi Delta Phi Int’l Legal Honor Society (PDP). She then worked diligently with the law students at the Grand Rapids campus to organize a new PDP chapter where she held the title as Magister until she graduated.

Christine is certified to mediate Civil and Domestic cases. She is very experienced mediating cases in Court House settings, office settings, and Zoom platforms

Janet McDuffey

McDuffey Law, PLLC was founded by Janet A. McDuffey. Janet received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Janet is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is admitted to the federal court in both the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan. She holds a certificate in civil mediation.

To the practice of law, Janet brings two decades of public service. She will use her experience to compassionately advocate for her clients. Janet is a member of the Ingham County Bar Association and is the current secretary of the Davis-Dunnings Bar Association. 

In her spare time, Janet enjoys traveling, running, and indoor spin cycling. She has run several marathons, half-marathons, and 5K races. Raised in the Lansing area, Janet is a proud graduate of Everett High School.

Erika Gielda 

Wife and Mother of two.  She is an avid reader who enjoys cooking and yoga. In her spare time, she does home renovations with her husband and plays outdoors with her children.

Erika earned her bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University in both psychology and history. She later graduated with a JD from Western Michigan Cooley Law school in 2020. She was active in Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity. She worked at the Innocence Project in restorative justice.

She has completed the 200 hours of mediation training and will bring a calm and peaceful presence to your mediation.

Brittany Bennett
